Jason Wishard
Jason Wishard is an Interaction Designer with EightShapes, LLC, with a varied background in visual design, front-end development and user experience. Jason’s professional background extends across different sectors. He has worked for organizations like the Department of Energy, AOL and US News & World Report.
Before coming to EightShapes, Jason was a Sr. UI Designer with Network Solutions, where he worked in a fast-paced environment of eCommerce and immersed himself in the mix of design and analytics. In addition to learning analytical design, Jason helped Network Solutions use grid systems to componentize their designs for faster iteration.
In 2011, Jason appeared at Midwest UX, Refresh DC, and DUXCamp, speaking on topics such as emotional content and remote collaboration. Jason’s article on remote collaboration is one of the most visited stories on the EightShapes blog.
Jason was educated in print design at Shepherd University, graduating with a BFA in Graphic Design. While in college, he saw the web as an emerging technology at the time and took the initiative to intern for web positions to jump-start his career.
